In my mind any situation in which you are a part of is influenced by your actions or inactions. I don’t think there are many where you have no impact. I 100% agree with not wanting my son to make his life decisions because it is what I want. But I think I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to have some influence on that. I want him to choose what makes him happy. However, I also want him to choose something in line with the values we are raising him.
