Hersheys! Not everyone has tried on Nike, but I’d say more people have tried Hersheys. S’mores! Hershey’s is in a lot of sweets without us even knowing it. I totally believe that helping can hurt. My thoughts are similar to what McKenzie said. Can’t wait to hear the discussion!

…learning environment. Their brains can comprehend so much more than what we (adults as a whole) give them credit for. I can usually tell kids who are helped immediately at home vs kids who are guided to help themselves just by how they respond to a given situation. In fact, most of the “helping” I do daily is really just modeling the way for how they should treat each other and not so much that I think they actually need the help from me.

I’m a toddler “teacher” in a daycare setting (primarily 1 1/2- to3-year-olds). Helping is something I’ve struggled with a lot in my profession, especially being an enneagram 2 and wired to be a helper. When I first started my job, I would jump at the first sign of struggle— putting on a shoe, breaking up an altercation, etc. But the more I’ve observed and worked with that age group, the more I realize small kids are actually capable of if we give them tools and allow them to fail in a safe…
